City Plans Improvements to Entrance Trail for Monrovia Canyon Park
Monrovia is planning $149,904 of improvements to the trail alongside the entrance road to Monrovia Canyon Park - four concrete aprons and 1,930 linear feet of concrete curb to divert rain water into the Sawpit Debris Basin to help eliminate trail erosion.
However, the property belongs to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and, oops, turns out there is no formal agreement between the district and the city for a trail. So this measure, if the council approves it at its Jan. 6 meeting (agenda: http://goo.gl/FFK6nj ), would essentially formalize the current arrangement between the city and the flood control district.
