City negotiating about property just north of Station Square
The city is negotiating terms and price for the commercial/industrial property just north of Station Square Park, east of Primrose and south of Pomona. Details.
Hopefully not building more hideous giant buildings! Taking the train is so sad, the beauty of our city is slowly being covered up by huge empty eyesores!
What is the plan here? The City is in a deficit, the schools are "financially challenged", and the City council wants to acquire more land? I suggest the Council explain what and why it is doing this. The City can't seem to manage the financial challenges it already has. Playing at "real estate developer" on the taxpayer dime might be fun, but having "fun" is not the Council's obligation or right.
Isn't that stupid they took the old YMCA and turned it into something stupid the children could have used an Inside gym!! My grandson used to play in basketball there. The under served had a place to shshower!!
The staff report simply indicates the property and that the discussion was about price. As most price negotiations, it is done in closed session, so I don't have any further information.

ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteAnd yet the the other article mentions a city deficit. Stop buying property if it isn’t going to make money.

DeleteExcuse the spelling
ReplyDeleteSo very right.
ReplyDeleteBrad, are you aware if this is a lease or a sale. The City would benefit from a lease of this property.
