The Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit, also known as the Stealth Bomber. 132were slotted to be built but only 21 made it through complete production, so I read. It was fascinating to read about these bombers.
I heard the aircraft overhead but could not see it.
I think it might have been more fun if a couple of F-16's or F-18's had come in at about 750 feet off the deck pushing .9 Mach, and gone to full afterburner after transiting the route. The B-2, just 21 of them produced and IIRC only 19 left in operation due to crashes, are not representative of the strike fighter cadre who do much more work in harm's way.
Then there is the venerable A-10. A flyby with an A-10 and its precursor, the P-47 Jug might have been more educational for the audience. If they had someone to talk to who knew an A-10 from a P-47 from an F-16 or F-18, and what the types have done in service.
OK, that's a stretch, I know, finding someone who knows. Much less asking questions.
Bomber not fighter
