School District's Business Services Officer Leaves
Jessica Garcia, Monrovia School District's Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, has departed the district. Interim Superintendent Flint Fertig said Garcia was an " invaluable team member," wished her well, and said a search for a replacement is underway. Details.

Our board is to blame. They don’t know what they are doing at all. They don’t care either. They still don’t even have a superintendent and the interim is in over his head because he is really just a principal. At least he cares though. She was the best business assistant superintendent we have ever had.

DeleteBlame Dr Smith. He pushed out all the old admin and brought in his friends. They’re the worst people to work for. Thank God he’s gone and I’m very happy Ms Garcia has left too. This board needs to start caring about staff.
DeleteSuch an ignorant take. The board is the common denominator here. Smith did their dirty work but there was a line he wouldn’t cross, so he left and took a boat load of money to stay quiet. Hopefully Garcia did the same. Time for the board to go.
DeleteThe board’s nonsense continues to drive people out for one reason or another. Now the business assistant superintendent is gone, the art guy Mr. Patrick is gone, Dr. Nickel at Bradoaks is gone. Others are actively interviewing too. It’s the board. People would rather retire, go do their job somewhere else, or take a promotion that stay and work for them. Pay is low too so why deal with their garbage. Time to vote them all out.
DeleteYou should be more concerned with the performance of the schools and needed repairs to them that don’t ever seem to get done.
ReplyDeleteThe Monrovia Good Old Boys club strikes again! I should start a pool to see who they force out next. Our current Interim superintendent will most likely become the full time superintendent once the school year is over.
ReplyDeleteHammond is the ring leader of all of this. The interim superintendent is his good friend, that’s why a principal is “running” the district right now. Same old crap in Monrovia.
