Crowd Gathers for Unveiling of Steve Baker Bear

A crowd gathered at the southeast corner of Myrtle and Foothill today for the unveiling of the Steve Baker bear, honoring former City Historian Steve Baker, who died last year. Mayor Becky Shevlin said the “irreplaceable” Baker knew more about Monrovia history “than all of us combined,” and was always ready to share his knowledge, often in the form of a humorous story.
