Blessing of the Animals at St. Luke's Episcopal Church

On Sunday, Oct. 9,  at  10 a.m., St. Luke's Episcopal Church will celebrate the Blessing of the Animals, honoring the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. All pets in carriers or on leashes are welcome in the service. The church also asks that all worshippers wear masks indoors, whether vaccinated or not.

Attendees are also invited to bring new stuffed animals to donate to the Martin Luther King Jr. Pediatric Hub, which provides medical and mental health care to children exposed to domestic and sexual violence. Parish member Dr. Janet Arnold-Clark is the Director of this LA County center. These gifts will be blessed during the service and given to comfort children receiving care at the Hub.
