Mental Health Bill By Monrovia's Senator, Signed Into Law

A bill by Senator Anthony Portantino, who represents Monrovia, was signed into law by Governor Brown. Senate Bill 565 requires mental health facilities, prior to certification review hearings, to make reasonable attempts to notify family members or any other person designated by the patient of the exact time and place of the hearing at least 36 hours prior to the certification review hearing.
