Sketches of Historic Monrovia Homes to be Published

Monrovia Historic Preservation group is planning to publish this month a set of pen and ink drawings by Marjorie Brewer, who started in the late 1950s when she noticed that homes in a state of disrepair were being torn down. Of the eleven houses in this anthology, three were eventually demolished.

The book will contain not only the drawings but also vintage photographs of the homes where available and a current picture if the home is still standing. Plus early histories of the homes.
