Did that cause Mt. Sierra to lose confidence in Monrovia as a long term investment? Is this kind of caution something we can expect from the business community for the rest of his term?
It's not like they're moving out of town. They're just moving to a different location. And while I too am interested in what the change in Monrovia's city council had to do with this decision, I suspect the "raise in the proposed property’s assessment" had a lot to do with it.
Look, I don't know if Adams being mayor has anything to do with their change in plans, but your statement is dishonest. Adams being elected mayor wasn't the only change to the council this year. Again, I don't have any idea what Sierra's issue with council is, but to blame it solely on Adams, who was probably a council member when Sierra College started their expansion plans, seems off-base.
If you have any actual knowledge of why Sierra doesn't like our current council please share it so we can work to make better relationships in this city. Otherwise, for the betterment of this city, please keep your snide insinuations to yourself.
I haven't lived here very long, but long enough to know that the silly in-fighting between the Adams and Lutz camps is hurting this city and it needs to stop.
You're right, Adams became Mayor, Lutz left and Crudgington, whom Adams supported, took his council seat. Still, Anonymous12:31 makes a good point. What is it about the new council that made Mt. Sierra nervous? Rich, I also agree with you that the infighting should stop and I wish you and many others had spoken up 10 months ago when the nasty mudslinging was at its height. Maybe if we all had told them to knock it off we'd have a more trusted council today.
