At the Monrovia Gold Line Station dedication today, Mayor Tom Adams said one of the items on his bucket list is to get on the train in Monrovia, switch to a big train at Union Station, then hop on the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona, and visit the south rim of the canyon, all without sitting in an automobile. Adams spoke, then also speeches from various other officials.
The station is not open for use, by the way. I believe that'll be early next year.
