~ A bill by Monrovia's assembly member, Chris Holden, to extend from two years to 10 years the statute of limitations on human rights abuses, has been unanimously approved by an Assembly committee and will now go before the full Assembly. Holden's office says AB 15 would will bring California law into line with federal regulations for filing civil lawsuits based on acts of genocide, torture, war crimes and human trafficking.
