You thought maybe Myrtle Avenue was named after a tree, as many Monrovia streets are named after trees or flowers? Not so. It was named after our founder's eldest daughter, Myrtle Monroe, according to the Monrovia Historic Preservation Group's latest newsletter. Thanks to MOHPG for this photo of Myrtle.
