The Monrovia City Council will consider extending the two moratoriums it adopted at its last meeting from 45 days to 10 months and 15 days, so they'll expire on November 17, 2015.
The moratoriums prohibit demolition of homes built before 1940 ( http://goo.gl/l4G0sr ) and issuing building permits for new homes. (This second moratorium proposal, by the way, includes an interesting map showing the ages of various homes throughout the city: http://goo.gl/k5z13p )
