~ A Taste of Old Town Monrovia announced on Facebook that 38 Degrees Ale House and Grill, which is coming to to the old Merengue bakery location on Colorado east of Myrtle, will participate this year's Taste of Old Town on Oct. 19. 38 Degrees is popular in Alhambra.
~ The Friends of the Monrovia Public Library Fall Book Sale will take place Oct. 10-12, a three-day event wit thousands of donated books. Hours: Friday noon-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Close-out $3-per-bag sale is Sunday from 4-5 p.m. All funds raised support Library programs and collection development. http://goo.gl/vvxCIQ
