Monrovia's Assemblyman Wants Vets to Help Run Community Colleges

Assemblymember Chris Holden, who represents Monrovia, is proposing legislation to give veterans a stronger voice in college leadership. AB 1557 increases the number of voting members on the Board of Governors at the California Community College system by adding two new members - both reserved for veterans.

Comment: I'm a veteran who attended college after serving and I'm baffled by this. Do grocery stores also need veterans on their boards to help returning vets? How about city planning departments? A solution in search of a problem.
