First Presbyterian Church of Monrovia is apparently transferring its denominational ties from the Presbyterian Church, USA to a new Presbyterian denomination, called "ECO," which is not an acronym but takes its name from "ecosystems," because the denomination wants to "strengthening the ecosystems of local churches." ECO says its mission is "to build flourishing churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ" (
