Monrovia Schools Suspends More Students

Monrovia schools apparently has one of the highest suspension rates in the state. http://goo.gl/Np04K

Comment: Uhhh ... okay. But is that a bad thing? I like the idea that disruptive students are temporarily chucked out so other students can learn. If other districts aren't suspending enough disruptive students, so much the worse for them. Good work, Monrovia schools!

  1. Actually, yes, this is bad. Recent studies show this is bad for students, bad for teachers, and bad for communities. It is also indicative of management and classroom control problems more than problem students.
