Monrovia's Assemblyman Pleased About No Pay for Legislators

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, who represents part of Monrovia, seems pleased with "State Controller John Chiang's decision to uphold State law by withholding the Legislators' pay until they pass a truly balanced budget."

He writes that "the people have won this battle," and "it is time for the Legislature to get to work making tough choices to live within our means and stop whining that they will feel the same pressure every Californian feels when the budget is late."

  1. Good for him! No work, no pay. Actually, I did not vote for this proposition because I knew the legislators would come up with a "solution" to save their skins. The controller is looking towards the gubernatorial seat, something the legislators did not count on. Oh politics! It can bite you back.
