  1. If I said I am not impressed, would it hurt somebody’s feelings? It is like slapping makeup on what is already there, and for that amount of momey, I think a more up to date design is in order. I assume we own the land. So why the ginormous price tag? I just think a gutting and a do over could be more cost-effective and potentially appealing. Still looks like late 1950s early 1960s but with no sparkle.

  2. This does not look good. Seems like a complete waste of space and the architectural design does not fit with the city at all....

  3. I mean can we see the full kitchen? The nursing room? Will there be a passport office? What about all the offices they have? Don’t they have over 5 for higher staff? What do those look like?

  4. It is difficult to see the purpose of the spaces from the video. It looks like a lot of open space. I do not care for the look of the false arches in front. They lack purpose or curb-appeal. They just seem to cover up the building without reason.

  5. The archways on the front all look like the entrance, which feels visually confusing. The distinct entryway of the library is a clearer implementation of this style.

  6. Absolutely NOT! Come on people! I know if the architect took one drive through our beautiful community, they would understand why people of all ages come here to visit and live! This does NOT represent Monrivia as a warm or welcoming community! Take this open spacious modern building and put it in downtown LA
    somewhere it belongs!
