New Features When Canyon Park Reopens

City Manager Dylan Feik reports that Canyon Park, which is set to reopen in December, will have a new sewer and water system, an outdoor education center, a gazebo next to the stream, rebuilt rock walls, more native plants, renovation of the Nature Center, and the potential addition of three bronze statues.

  1. Why so much concrete? Concrete requires grading, is damaging to trees around it and requires so much water.

  2. Well it looks awesome and I think it will be a big improvement. You can't please everyone! Ignore the naysayers I say.

  4. It can be so much better. What a shame. Maybe the city manager and city council can put another chicken joint up there since those are the only businesses they can attract to Monrovia. Maybe Rob Hammond can work with the good ole boys he ruined the city with when he was mayor to allow him to put a pawn shop up there too or better yet run the gold line up there so we have homeless there too. We deserve better.
