Church Chairman George Selah writes that "Senior Pastor Albert Tate, will be taking a leave of absence. This decision follows an initial review by the board and outside experts concerning inappropriate text messages and questionable comments he has made."
He added that the leave of absence is "a necessary time for Albert to engage in a period of reflection, spiritual guidance, and restoration.
"The Board and senior staff are committed to supporting Albert and his family through this season where we are all seeking clarity and the right steps forward."

My prayers are with you and your family Pastor Albert.
ReplyDeleteIm not "Anonymous", my name is Traci Williams of Monrovia.
ReplyDeletePastor Tate, whatever it was you said was I'm sure the truth. Stay strong Pastor we all love you. You are a man of God. Keep strong and fearless. The spiritual battle is real and God's warriors are praying for you.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteAmazing you're fine with "whatever happened." Your blind loyalty is dangerous.
DeleteI have never met him or been to a service, but have heard great things about him as a gifted speaker. I pray his transgressions are such that he can learn, recover and grow.
ReplyDeleteWhat type of inappropriate comments/ texts and who towards ?
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts, quite important context is missing here. Inappropriate comments can mean so much depending on who is judging… they should specify to avoid tainting a man’s reputation if it is not warranted.
DeleteI am on staff. It’s confirmed sexting
DeleteI meant to say “ I am not on staff, but I think sexting”
DeleteYou knew what you were going to say in the first place. The board could of handle this in a better way. Satan is always busy
Deletetrying to destroy the church. My prayers goes out to everyone and I’m not on staff.
Sending best thoughts for those who were victimised, hoping by some miracle they won't continue to be institutionally retraumatised by Fellowship Monrovia, WCCC, and GLN.
ReplyDeleteHail Satan, thank you for your many gifts!
ReplyDeleteI so sick of churches being a business and trying to cover up things. He a human being frist and he loves the lord and sometimes things happen true or not but the gold would be to let him still be visible while God breaks or rebuilds him in this moment of his trial. People in leadership should take responsibility and owen the mistakes or the misunderstanding and get back to putting God upfront in it all. If he did or didn't now everyone has an option and the people who really need God are like see church people. Pastor Tate I've watched you over the years and now it your moment to be that leader who you have taught about. Looking forward to see you stand in that whether you did or you didn't know judgment here. What a moment to be humble and teach and show the power God through it all.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Miracle White I wrote this
DeleteBeautifully said!
DeleteWhy did so many pastors like Fields left few months ago?
ReplyDeleteChristians supported Trump's inappropriate comments.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha
DeleteHell yeah! The curtains on the “Albert Show” needed to fall at some point.
ReplyDeleteReally curtains on the Albert show, how creative. Whoever you are why don’t you stfu and mind ur own shit and since youre so proud of the comment why don’t you show your face. If you want a show so bad why don’t you put your life on a pedestal I’m sure the press would eat up all the mistakes of your life especially since ik youre not a Christian since real Christian’s know that the only being who could ever judge is god unless you’re calling urself God then you can also call hell home, but honestly do you have nothing better to do than criticizes someone’s life and not just anyone a pastors. Your poor mom, what a disappointment she ended up with like you, honestly go take one look in the mirror and look at the horrid excuse for a person there is.
DeleteWow. Who appointed you judge and jury on someone else's comment? I want the facts of what happened and those seem scarce in the church's effort to contain the damage. That's the most evil thing about this mess. Grow up.
DeleteI have been a Christian for over 40 years, have attended Fellowship, and facilitated an Alpha group there this year. I grieved upon reading Fellowship’s Board Chairman’s statement about Senior Pastor Albert Tate’s misconduct. I emailed to Fellowship at community@madeforfellowship.com my extensive reply. Among other things, my reply said that the Chairman’s statement reflects that the Board believes Senior Pastor Albert Tate sinned. That being the case, I indicated that, as part of the Scriptural restoration of Senior Pastor Albert Tate, he should be “rebuke[d] before all” per 1 Timothy 5:20. The Board’s statement and my reply may be found at https://kerobersonsrltrtofellowshipchurch.blogspot.com/.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. However, I wonder why there have been so many resignations lately. Praying that healing will occur.
ReplyDeleteIf the resignations are due to pastors and leaders not being paid I get thet but if they left because of Alberts actions I'll call them cowards. Pick up and continue the work he began. Pluck the log out if your eye. Lets give the man grace as God would have us do. Shameful that now even the Wintet camp has been canceled.
DeleteWell said!!!
DeleteThis is very disturbing and much more serious than the Board is trying to sell it as. It’s not just marital infidelity, it’s multiple reported incidents of sexual harassment, toxicity, and financial abuse.
ReplyDeleteThe former leadership and staff wrote a letter to the board, which is now public, detailing the extensive problems and recommended next steps.
The full letter is here:

It includes links to other sections, the one detailing the abuse and mismanagement is here:

Please need to read this. The staff and congregation deserve better than this.
Thank you for posting!
DeleteThanks for taking the time to share what the church seems to be hiding!
