State Senator Anthony Portantino, who represents Monrovia, has introduced Resolution, SCR 8, which would name the 134 Freeway between the Glendale CA-2 and the Interstate 210 Freeway the "President Barack H. Obama Freeway." Obama attended Occidental College in Eagle Rock from 1979 to 1981 and lived in Pasadena during his sophomore year. Source: Portantino Press Release

WHO EVER VOTED FOR THIS NUT CASE
ReplyDeleteWITH GREAT IDEAS LIKE THIS
BOY DO YOU ALL LOOK STUPID
I vote NO on this resolution!
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no! This is the best Portantino can come up with? He represents his constituents, not Obama.
ReplyDeleteSo by the comments - nothing should ever be named after anyone? Change Reagan Airport back National, still not sure why Bob Hope got the Burbank Airport...and then why both designating anything for fallen officers? I'm sure this brain trust has some ideas that aren't stupid? Grollneck, serious? Just knows how to type IN ALL CAPS and throw insults - useless and non-productive. I do wonder what internet trolls used to do -
ReplyDeleteI was amazed that Portantino was reelected, but maybe enough people forgot what a dunce he is, if a faithful Democrat who votes as told by his "leadership". This idea is about par for Portantino's skill level.
ReplyDeleteObama has been a nightmare of a President. I don't care what party such a president comes from, the 210 Freeway should not be named after them even if they built it with their own hands. Obama's short and concealed presence in CA should not be memorialized.
NO WAY. I thought we finally got rid of him. This State is getting worse and worse. One third of our population is on Medi-Cal and this is what Portantino is coming up with?
