Monrovia Council Member Alexander Blackburn said some "private interests" see council members as "simpleton puppets" swayed by "flattery and sycophantic awards." That approach, he said, is often successful and that the council needs to watch out for that. http://goo.gl/rLm8UA

    I hope this will have an affect on the other council members. I'm crossing my fingers, but I'm not holding my breath.
