Monrovia Mayor Mary Ann Lutz wrote on Facebook that: "This afternoon the City of Monrovia was honored by the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, Southern California Edison and The Gas Company by naming it a Gold city with the Energywise Partnership. Over the past few years we have saved over a million kilowatts in our city by becoming more energy efficient - that means we're saving $!"
